It is an alkaline lipase enzyme preparation produced by a selected strain of T. lanuginosus species.
Meteolipase is used in laundry detergents and cleaning products to remove fat and oil-containing stains, such as oil, grease, and blood stains.
Meteolipase can be effectively used to boost detergent wash performance. Many industrial and Hospital laundries can considerably reduce re-washing, and bleach consumption, by pre-spotting or soaking heavily soiled items with an enzyme-containing detergent.
