Kallidinogenase

  • Proteolytic enzymes from the serine endopeptidase family found in normal blood and urine. Specifically, Kallikreins are potent vasodilators and hypotensives and increases vascular permeability and affects smooth muscle.
  • They act as infertility agents in men. Three forms are recognized, PLASMA KALLIKREIN , TISSUE KALLIKREIN, and PROSTATE-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN Therapeutically kallikrein is used in the treatment of peripheral vascular and coronary arterial diseases, as well as in delayed fracture and wound healing.
