Alpha-galactosidase is glycoside hydrolase enzyme that hydrolyses the terminal alpha-galactosyl moieties from glycolipids and glycoproteins.
It also hydrolyses indigestible galactans present in intestine and neglects their anti- effect like gas production resulting in bloating, pain and general discomfort.
It helps in digestion and maintains the proper functioning of the system, reduce intestinal gas, and deal with complex carbohydrate intolerance.
